🦠🛍️ Reusable Grocery Bags Could Make You Sick?
Reusable grocery bags are great… but are they secretly breeding harmful bacteria and poisoning the food supply for your entire household?
Have we created a whole new health hazard by trying to clean up the plastic in our environment (not to mention microplastics in our water and food)?
I mean… come on.
What do you do if you touch raw meat with your hands?
You wash them.
What do you do if you get raw meat juice on your clothes?
Yup, you guessed it: wash them.
So… what do you do if your reusable grocery bag gets dirty?
Seems like a weird thing to get mad about, doesn’t it?
Just wash your bags. It’s a tiny bit of extra effort that makes a huge impact on the entire future of the planet. Here’s a great article that shows the best ways to clean reusable bags of all sorts.
🍫 Should you be eating protein bars?
Did you know there are 3 grams of protein in a Snickers candy bar? It’s true. But you wouldn’t call that a protein bar, right? Well, some companies would. And even worse, some protein bars are so full of junk that they’re not much better than a Snickers bar. That’s nuts (dad pun intended).
Look, I get it. Convenience is everything today. And nothing is more convenient than tearing open a package and immediately sinking your teeth into something ready-made—no cooking, chopping, measuring, or thinking required. Protein bars seem like the perfect futuristic solution, and we trust the label when it says it’s healthy. We don’t expect to be lied to when trying to feed our bodies in a hurry.
But the future isn’t what we thought it would be. Hoverboards don’t hover, cars still don’t fly, and protein bars are mostly just candy. Bummer.
And as it is with any other candy bar, having one every once in a while is no big deal. But you shouldn’t have them every day, and you shouldn’t rely on them to provide your body with the building blocks it truly needs to rebuild and recover.
If you want to know more about protein and its effects on aging, as well as where to get the best protein from, take a look at this article from my previous newsletter.
🪼 Skin Superfood: Jellyfish of the Forest
Imagine finding a jellyfish in the forest! Someone did, and they decided to eat it. Luckily for us, they discovered it was a mushroom – the Tremella Mushroom, known for boosting skin health like no topical cream can.
For thousands of years, Tremella has been a key beauty supplement in Traditional Chinese Medicine, once reserved for royalty. Legends even claim the most beautiful woman in history owed her looks to this mushroom.
Heard of hyaluronic acid? Tremella holds five times the moisture and enhances skin elasticity while boosting antioxidant protection.
So why isn't it mainstream? Most people haven't heard of it, and it was a well-kept secret. Plus, it might not be as profitable for the beauty industry.
With summer upon us, let your skin glow with Tremella Mushroom.
Not keen on the raw taste?
Try it in the ultra-delicious and super-hydrating Organifi Glow which is loaded with Tremella and many other skin health superfoods like acerola cherry, amla, bamboo silica, aloe vera, rosehips, pomegranate, baobab, lemon, and coconut water.
🎆 Celebrating the 4th is fun for the entire family—even the furry ones! Take a look at this article for tips on how to keep them cool in the heat and calm during the fireworks, and a whole lot more.
🔗 Do you like to cook, bake, or grill using aluminum foil? Some alarming studies have shown that some of that aluminum is transferred into the food we eat, and sometimes at unsafe levels…
🍔 The smell of charcoal is in the air! But be careful—cooking over high heat, particularly an open flame, can expose you to two primary carcinogens. This article gives you some safety tips so you can grill with confidence all summer long.
🍪 If you’re allergic to nuts (or any food, really) you NEED to know that the products you’re buying are safe. That’s the reason behind the newest chocolate chip muffin recall at Aldi stores…
🍦 More than 60 ice cream products have been pulled from store shelves recently over fears of a possible listeria contamination. Check your freezer!

Health Quiz Answer
No. Exercise alone is not enough to lose weight and keep it off. Diet and exercise together are the equally important keys to success.
See you next week!
