🎄Christmas in July: Day 4 Challenge

Today’s challenge is going to be epic: create your own superfood recipe. Bonus points for using any Organifi product!

I'm already seeing people getting creative in our community. Someone's planning "Grinch Green Smoothies" Another person is working on "Rudolph's Red Velvet Protein Bites."

Most people think wellness has to be complicated. Like you need 47 different supplements, a meal plan that requires a PhD to understand, and recipes that take longer than your commute.

That's what today is all about - playing with your nutrition instead of stressing about it.

🔬 Your Transit Gut Test

I've been getting dozens of messages about gut health. People feeling bloated, tired, foggy-brained, and generally "off" but not knowing why.

So I want to share something that's actually been studied by researchers and used by functional medicine practitioners for years. It's called the "Transit Time Test" and it's probably the simplest gut health assessment you can do at home.

Here's How it Works

  1. Tomorrow morning, eat a handful of corn kernels or sesame seeds with your breakfast (don't chew them)

  2. Note the time

  3. Watch for them to show up in your stool (I know, glamorous)

  4. Note that time, as well

What the Research Says

  • A study of 175 health science students found median transit time of 29 hours

  • This Study revealed that the predicted intestinal transit time was longer in women than men at equivalent ages.

What Your Results Tell You

12-24 hours = Optimal. Your digestive system is moving at the right pace. Keep doing what you're doing, you digestive rockstar.

Less than 12 hours = Too fast. Food isn't staying long enough to absorb nutrients properly.

  • Slow down when you eat, chew more thoroughly, reduce stress, avoid foods that trigger you.

More than 48 hours = Too slow. Things are getting backed up, which can cause bloating, fatigue, and toxin buildup.

  • Add more fiber (vegetables, not fiber supplements), drink more water, move your body more, consider magnesium.

Your gut transit time affects everything because gut bacteria directly impact transit time by producing metabolites that stimulate motility - the process that moves food through your system. When this gets disrupted, it impacts energy levels, mood, skin, sleep, weight management, and immune function.
